"A little bit of colour in the garden."

Hello,

Happy Monday.

I hope you are enjoying the Easter break. Last week I took a wander around the garden here at Kainga.

From afar it doesn't look like much is blooming but upon closer inspection I found some lovely roses blooming and just about each flower had bees near it.

Tough plants that survive without a lot of water are most welcome here. Always adding to the succulent collection. These plants fascinate me, I love the shapes and sizes they come in. The garlic chive flowers (middle photo top row) are delicious put in a stir fry.

Have you got anything unusual blooming in your garden? I would love to hear about it.

Happy days.
Bev C

Yes Bev we do have something a little different here....we are enjoying ginger from our garden! We gave a lovely spot for it but I think we are supposed to be too far south here for it!

Some lovely colour in your garden still Bev, our roses have mostly finished now & are going into hips. In your first photo collage, it looks like your little pots of succulents are wrapped in paper doilies ??

Your garden is looking lovely. Plenty of colour.
At the moment I have several yuccas that have grow higher than the house spouting. All of them have stunning flower spikes on them.

Hi Bev your roses are very pretty. I love succulent too. I have few collection of them. I never really thought of adding chive flowers to my stir fries, I might try that next time.
Hope you had a good Easter break.

Wonderful walk through your garden! I love seeing all the variety of plants and colors and textures. I always forget to plant more succulents every few years. Right now we have crocuses blooming. Our tulips are starting to come up, and buds on some of the trees are starting to reveal themselves. Fun to watch things come back to life!

Oh my goodness. What a GORGEOUS, colorful garden. I'm so ready for spring here - our peonies are starting to bud, the irises are also starting to poke their heads out. Thank you for the 'tease'.

Great colours and flowers in your garden. We have masses of garlic chives although I have never cooked with them - I love the flowers too much and the seed heads are so pretty too during the winter. xx

Your garden is hanging on well, Bev. Just about everything in mine has disappeared in readyness for winter which doesn't appear to be in any hurry to arrive this year. A couple of dahlias are hanging on and a few vegies are going well. Off for a picnic at the beach today. Hope you had a happy Easter with the family.

Hello Bev,
Your garden has a lot of color and different texture to it. Lucky Girl to be able to grown your own apples. That is one fruit that is amazing fresh picked. I agree with you on the succulents. Hubby really got me into to them and they are beautiful and I think every garden or patio garden needs at least one or two to start with. They are addicting.
Thanks for sharing our garden with us.
Have a lovely day.
Blessings,
Bobbie Lynn
